Computer Lab

The Computer Lab has 8 workstations. Each has easy to follow instructions on how to use the equipment. A few of things you can do on our workstations are:

Club members can also use the Computer Lab at other times by emailing a request to the Computer Club asking to be put on the Computer Lab key access list.

· Internet access.

· Ancestry.com World Edition to search family history

· Transfer 35mm slides or photographic prints into digital images and then onto CD-ROMs

· Convert LP, 45, and 78 rpm records or cassette tapes to mp3 files or music CDs

· Transfer VHS tapes (up to 6 hours) onto a single DVD

· Use Pinnacle Studio to edit videos or create slide shows and write them onto a DVD

· Copy CDs and DVDs

· Roxio Media Creator to edit sound, create slide shows, and do much more

· Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 for photo editing

· And learn from many self-paced training programs including Windows Vista and Windows 7,

· Microsoft Office 2007, and training on how to use the many features of digital cameras

The Computer Lab is closed Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM from February through mid-April for AARP Tax Processing.

The Computer Lab is open to club members who are on the key access list. To get on the list, send an e-mail to the club requesting to be put on the key access list for the Computer Lab. You will receive instructions by e-mail on how to gain access and use the Computer Lab.

This season the Computer Lab will not be open on Tuesday mornings with monitors. The monitor program has been suspended.
